META DATA (1) Manuscript ID with journal acronym, year and unique number. Clicking on the ID shows all current manuscript meta data. (2) The title shows the first 20 characters of the contributions title. Clicking on the title will open the PDF file of the full manuscript. (3) Add graphics, indicates that no graphics have been submitted. Yes (3) indicates that three figures have been uploaded. COMMENTS & MISSING ITEM REQUESTS (4) Click on Add Comments to enter your own personal notes for the manuscript handling of this specific submission. The comments can be deleted or changed by clicking on the text lineThese comments follow the manuscript through the entire editorial process but cannot be viewed outside the system. (5) Click on Request missing items for requesting missing manuscript items from the author either by e-mail or letter. The date shows the sent date. REFEREEING (6) All referees are listed in the pull-down menus. The numbers in parentheses are pending manuscripts currently with the referee. Each referee will receive an individual e-mail with a request for refereeing the manuscript. The e-mail will include the abstract, along with the user name and password keys for retrieving the PDF file. (7) You may edit the text sent to the referee(s) or change the standard letter to referees in the Edit Letters menu. (8) Clicking the Record selection / send e-mail button will automatically send an e-mail with a refereeing request to the selected referees. The e-mail will contain the user name (Submission ID) and password (referee e-mail address) giving access to the page with the abstract and full PDF. It will also relocate the submission to the third column list of articles pending referee opinions and final editorial decision. OPTIONAL: REGULAR MAIL HANDLING (9) Downl. letter" enables you to download onto your computer disk a referee request letter with recipients address and standard text from your personalized letters database; you can then print and send it with the manuscript hardcopy by regular mail to the referee. Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape 7 or later are required for this functionality. |
